Prototype!

Prototype!

This week I’ve been working on the prototype for my game, I was keeping an open mind before starting this despite my lack of interest and enthusiasm for the game.

When starting the prototype I had so much trouble with Unity, it was so frustrating, I kept restarting my laptop, it would work for a little while then shut down again. It got to a point where everything was deleted so that was really annoying but If I had more work done on my prototype I would have been angrier about that.

For my prototype for this week, I worked on the homepage of the game.

  1. Hi Lougein! I understand how you felt when you were starting the game as I was having trouble starting mine. Some assets I thought would have work did not suit my game at all so I spent more time looking for more and every time I download them, there are some errors coming up! Which was so irritating and I ended up only having the map of my game done. I hope everything is okay the next time you make your game! The homepage of your game looks very good!!

  2. Hey Lougein! I can honestly feel your pain about the Unity shutting down, I had the exact same problem with the 2018 version and I had to keep restarting my laptop and everything I then went and got the 2019 version it was all going well until ,C# scripts just wouldn’t work for anything and I have followed the steps exactly!! So now im back with the 2018 version and the same thing is happening again, it just keeps freezing on my but that god I had it saved from previously, there’s something definitely wrong with the programme but wish toy the best of luck with your game! 😊

  3. Hey Lougein!, I understand the pain of unity just freezing and just not working for some reason or just closing and hadn't saved ,y work as I was going, it just makes me want to break my laptop in half. It might be because the date of the unity we were told to install or your laptop might be running to much programs at the same time. I was not lookin forward to starting my game, getting the menu done first might have been a good idea but I've left that until last because I was focusing on the functionality of the game rather than the look. It might be a good idea for you, if you aren't that interested in game design to put how the game looks to the back burner for now and just make the game work the way you want, then a lot of the stress will go away, good luck!!!
