Time Management!

Time Management! When it comes to my schedule, I have a very hectic lifestyle, as well as college, I have a part time job that often turns Time Management into a 30/40 hour work week due to my managers calling me in for work after college. Due to this it becomes extremely hard balancing work and college at the same time as well as trying to fit in some me time, but due to my work ethic and schedule, I know it’s possible. I sometimes try to complete the assignment or task assigned almost immediately. I believe this works best for me as it relieves some of the pressure on me. As I am human I often fall behind and see myself doing last minute assignments quite a lot due to my job, “part time job”. I really like what Shaun has mentioned about changing your schedule on a particular week. I've had to do more work on certain days in a week as I had another assignment due later on and work on the same day. Learning from my past mistakes, I have learned to always try and split a large task ...

Class Tools!

Class Tools! When it comes to this course there are a lot of tools/     Apps + Tools apps we use, using softwares and or websites is much easier and more convenient than carrying heavy books but sometimes I miss having an actual book to read from or use. Blogger is an app we used a lot last year, to keep track on how we're doing with assignments, our progress, plans etc. It's nice to look back on sometimes and see my way of thinking.  We will also be using Bookmarking, which is a tool that keeps Blogger track of all the websites and pages we use. This sounds very useful as I often forget what website I used, but is that not what the history is for?πŸ˜‚ Nonetheless I think this is a great tool and can't wait to start using it. When it comes to Image Editing, I'm not the most knowledgable but I somewhat know how to use Adobe Photoshop. I used it for Studio Photography and Image Manipulation last year, so I'm glad I'm familiar with this tool. I have never heard of a...

Class Assignments

Class Assignments! Today’s Blog post will be talking about Class assignments, for Online Assignments this module to be exact. I like the system Shaun has put out where we’re given a certain amount of tasks to do weekly and they’re spread across the week. I can’t do the same thing for hours straight, I’d get too bored or start to get distracted, so I really like the fact that I can do 2 or 3 of these tasks daily. For this module I can tell I’m going to be using blogger more than ever, I’m glad as it’s not only an app that I’m familiar with but it’s also kind of fun to write about how I feel, I also really like that it’s informal. How I feel when doing assignments To start off each week I will have to do a reading task where I will be reading a material given to me by my lecturer, Shaun, and then writing about it. I’m not too sure what I will be writing about, perhaps a summary, but that doesn’t sound too hard and I guess can be enjoyable depending on the topic I will be reading about, s...

Growth Mindset

Growth Mindset! In this blog post I will be talking about Growth Mindset, a topic I was never really educated about. Key traits in performers Before this assignment I had never heard of Carol Dweck or even growth mindset, but I'm glad I will be able to learn about it through this module.  And before I talk about what I learned from the research, that I haven't done yet, I  will write a few bullet points  about what I THINK this topic    Develop a growth  mindset will be about: Openmindness Broadening your horizon Expanding mental capabilities Dealing with problems through a new perspective Learning how to better yourself with a healthier mindset of  "I can" rather than "I might"   After encountering Carol Dweck, I found her quite interesting and insightful. The tools that she has helped me discover have made me rethink my perspectives in a new light. Carol explains how powerful the mindset is, it can affect your intelligence, self esteem and your ...

My Favourite Game!

Image
My Favourite Game!      In this blog post I will be talking about my favourite game, it's called 'Escape Room' and can be found on the App store or Google store. It's a game where you need to solve riddles, puzzles, clues to get to the next level.    This is my favourite game because it's like a brain teaser. I playing this game when I'm at work and have nothing to do, when I wake up or even when I'm with my friends and we're all bored, we like to solve these.  By saying that, we  don't always solve the puzzles, since we're not   the smartest people aliveπŸ˜‚ Thankfully, there's a website that contains all the answers to all the levels. I only ever use this website when I have really really tried but don't know how to solve it. The riddles sometimes make sense and other times don't but it's always fun to try them and it's ever more satisfying solving them.  I also think this game wakes up some times and makes me focus more, espe...

Introduction!

My Introduction! Hello Everyone! I will be introducing myself in this  post so you can get to know me. My name is Lougein, I am 20 years old, I have one brother and one sister whom I both love very much, they're both younger than me. I work PART TIME in BoyleSports (the reason part time is in caps is because I am on an 8 hour contract but am doing 40+ hours every week πŸ˜”, me at work>>>>) So where do I start, lockdown? Before lockdown I was working 3/4 days a week whilst in college full time, I remember reading the news with my manager at work that the country was going into lockdown and as selfish as I may sound I was kind of glad, I needed a break from working all the time, since I never had a day off during the year, if I wasn't working then I was in college, balancing both work and college was really hard, but I did it! I couldn't be more proud of myself. So anyway, at the start of lockdown, everything felt so different, I went from being out every single d...
