 Reading 09!

This week's reading task was to give our peers feedback and use the feedback we get to refine our work.
I really like tasks like this because I feel like they help with my writing a lot and allows me to view my own writing from a non biased perspective. Although this week wasn't the best in terms of my writing, I'm not sure why, I got some feedback where I was asked to explain a statistic or explain why a certain quote was there, for some reason today I couldn't do that so instead of trying to find an explanation i just got rid of it. Other than that I really enjoyed the feedback.

Unmotivated

I also made a memory game for the 'check your understanding' section where the player will have to match the cards and it was about game genres, so that was fun!

Game Design!

Game Design! I never really understood how Games were made or how much work goes into Progress of Game Design making them, since I don’t really play games but after reading the articles I was assigned to read, I realised there was so much more to Game Design than what I thought there was. I gained an appreciation for it like I do for Art History, since the making of a game is an art in a way. Our Professor, Shaun,  provided us with many articles regarding Games/ Game Design. The first of them being What is a game? Prototype!

Prototype! This week I’ve been working on the prototype for my game, I was keeping an open mind before starting this despite my lack of interest and enthusiasm for the game. When starting the prototype I had so much trouble with Unity, it was so frustrating, I kept restarting my laptop, it would work for a little while then shut down again. It got to a point where everything was deleted so that was really annoying but If I had more work done on my prototype I would have been angrier about that.
