Unity Tutorial 05!

This week's Unity tutorial was a little harder than the last few I've done.

In the first tutorial "Camera - Cinemachine" I had to download a Unity package called 'cinemachine' which automatically controls the camera without having to add code, I honestly struggled a little with setting this up at first so I watched a few YouTube videos to help me get the hang of it.

In the second tutorial "Visual Styling - Particles" I added a particle affect to my game which basically creates lots of particles that are small pictures, which are controlled to add life and more feels to the game in a way.

Game Design!

Game Design! I never really understood how Games were made or how much work goes into Progress of Game Design making them, since I don’t really play games but after reading the articles I was assigned to read, I realised there was so much more to Game Design than what I thought there was. I gained an appreciation for it like I do for Art History, since the making of a game is an art in a way. Our Professor, Shaun,  provided us with many articles regarding Games/ Game Design. The first of them being What is a game? Prototype!

Prototype! This week I’ve been working on the prototype for my game, I was keeping an open mind before starting this despite my lack of interest and enthusiasm for the game. When starting the prototype I had so much trouble with Unity, it was so frustrating, I kept restarting my laptop, it would work for a little while then shut down again. It got to a point where everything was deleted so that was really annoying but If I had more work done on my prototype I would have been angrier about that.
